The Lanthieri wines draw their essence from the noble family that once graced the Vipava Valley. Grapes harvested by hand, matured in the Vipava Valley's prime locations, combined with a unique winemaking approach, guarantee a supremely fresh and distinguished flavor. Lanthieri wines are crafted for gourmets who favor vibrant white and red wines, defined by their characteristic varietal aroma, an elegant and polished body, and a truly noble spirit. The indigenous Zelèn and Pinela, hallmarks of the Lanthieri collection, are complemented by a broad spectrum of exceptional local and international grape varieties. 

L a n t h i e r i Z e l e n

Zelen is an indigenous Vipava variety that grows primarily on the slopes of the upper Vipava Valley.

Nose: It is medium-intense, with citrus notes in the forefront. This evolves into perceptions of dried fruit and herbs, bringing to mind the scent of blooming chamomile and sage.

Palate: Zelen is weaker in body, the acids are more subdued. The flavour lasts a long time and is very present. The minerality is present throughout.

Pairing Suggestions: Zelen is a good companion for cold starters, vegetable pasta and risottos. It goes well with fattier dry meats (lardo, pancetta).

Pinela is an indigenous Vipava variety that grows primarily on the slopes of the upper Vipava Valley.

Nose: 
We recognize apricot, white peach, and distinct tropical notes, with mango being the most prominent.

Palate: Slightly lighter, pleasantly fresh, mineral. It is expressive and lasts for a long time. Plenty of white fruit is highlighted in the aftertaste.

Pairing Suggestions: Pinela can be offered with all kinds of lighter dishes, with more delicate flavours. It goes well with fresh or roasted vegetables, fish or seafood. Good with vegetable starters.

L a n t h i e r i M a l v a z i j a

 

Nose: Complex and subtly sweet. It evokes citrus peel, acacia blossoms, tropical fruit, green almond, and honey.

Palate: Malvazija is medium-bodied, mineral, and soft. On the palate, it leaves aromas of tropical fruit and herbs. The finish is long.

Pairing Suggestions: It goes well with fish, seafood risottos, strong cream soups and grilled white meats, as well as light dishes with a Mediterranean flair.

Nose: Rich and complex. It evokes citrus and ripe white fruit, with distinct notes of blood orange, ripe nectarine, and almond blossom.

Palate:
Medium-bodied, full, and refined. The wine offers a rich mouthfeel and a long-lasting aroma reminiscent of citrus.

Pairing Suggestions: Fish and seafood are classic pairings with Pinot Grigio. It also complements creamy cheeses, roasted poultry, and light pasta dishes.

Nose: Lime and passion fruit. Fresh hay and grass clippings.

Palate: Aromatic and fresh, this medium-bodied wine offers a prominent and long-lasting taste. It develops a characteristic varietal aroma of elderflower, passionfruit, and citrus

Pairing Suggestions: Traditionally, it pairs well with soft or goat cheeses. It also complements poultry, red fish, and crustaceans. Consider combining it with dishes seasoned with parsley, basil, mint, thyme, or white pepper.

Dried citrus, banana, and pineapple, with discernible hints of caramel and toasted hazelnuts.

Palate: Full and rich, with a creamy texture. The soft, lingering finish highlights an aroma of dried citrus.

Pairing Suggestions: It pairs well with neutral dishes of delicate flavor, meaty fish, and shellfish, as well as poultry or grilled vegetables. It's also a good match for delicate risottos and pasta dishes.

Cuvee Storia is the story of two Cabernet Sauvignon vineyards and a Merlot vineyard, harmoniously complementing each other to create a unique fruity aroma and a structured, always elegant wine.

Nose: A basket of ripe dark berries: black cherry, plum, and blackcurrant, with a hint of cocoa.

Palate: Intense and full-bodied. Medium-bodied, long, and persistent, with an aroma of dark fruit.

Pairing Suggestions: We recommend it with roasted lamb or beef, steak, and even burgers. It can also be served with cheeses like Gouda or Cheddar.

Variety: 65 % Cabernet Sauvignon

35 % Merlot

Temperature: 16-18 °C

Nose: Sour cherry and blackberry are prominent. Maturation notes, such as cinnamon, anise, caramel, and plum jam, are also discernible.

Palate: It offers an elegant and velvety mouthfeel, with a long aromatic impression. The wine shows a more lively character and soft tannins. The finish is medium-long, with aromas of overripe fruit and sweet spices.

Pairing Suggestions: It pairs well with grilled dishes or pasta featuring tomato-based sauces, garlic, and olives. It also complements roasted pork or wild boar, lamb, meatballs, grilled sausages, or rabbit.

Nose: Sour cherry, cranberry, and blackcurrant are prominent. Maturation notes reminiscent of dark chocolate and cinnamon are also present.

Palate: Elegant, juicy, and medium-bodied. Silky tannins emphasize the wine's structure. A lingering finish leaves aromas of blackcurrant and spices.

Pairing Suggestions: Cabernet Sauvignon can be offered with a wide range of meat dishes. It pairs well with grilled meats, beef cutlets, and veal. It can also be combined with game.

Nose: Intense aromas of blackcurrant, black cherry, ripe plum, hibiscus, and violet. Notes of forest floor, leather, nutmeg, cloves, and black pepper are also discernible, leading to a pleasant finish reminiscent of dried sage.

Palate: Elegant, soft, intense, and persistent, with pleasant velvety tannins and freshness.

Pairing Suggestions:A good match with salmon fillet with Mediterranean herbs and vegetables. It also pairs well with roasted chicken and breaded meats, as well as mushroom risottos.
