The sparkling wine Stoletna Penina was bottled in 1994 for the 100th anniversary of the Vipava 1894 Wine Cellar. The dry sparkler Stoletna Penina marked the jubilee of our cellar.
With its lively character and perfect balance of individual components the Stoletna Penina sparkler is perfect for romantic moments as well as social gatherings.

Base wine: Chardonnay, Welschriesling, Pinot Blanc.
Varieties added at the time of bottling: white autochthonous varieties from the Vipava Valley.
Grape growing and winemaking details:
- Vineyard: Terraced vineyards.
- Harvest: A week prior to the regular harvest time – in the second half of August, at the beginning of September.
- Fermentation: The alcohol fermentation is followed by the secondary fermentation by the Charmat method.
- Maturation: 6 to 8 months sur lie.
Wine description:
- Colour: Green and yellow shades.
- Nose: Gentle fruity scent reminiscent of peaches and apples.
- Palate: Full, gentle, slightly aromatic.
- Harmony: Harmonious balance of freshness and elegance.
- Ageing potential: From 6 to 8 years.
