penina Rose
Penina Rose is a dry sparkling wine made out of 3 red grapes varieties typical for the Upper Vipava Valley. Its beauty is the typical freshness of the Vipava wines. The sparkling bubbles are obtained by charmat technology.

Variety: 50% barbera, 30% cabernet sauvignon, 20% merlot
Grape growing and winemaking details:
- Vineyard: Terraced vineyards
- Harvest: By hand, end of September.
- Maceration :24 hours by 28 ºC.
- Fermentation:combined with maceration, secondary fermentation by charmat method.
- Maturation:After secondary fermentation 4 months maturing on yeast.
Wine description:
- Colour: gentle red with shades of apricot.
- Nose: Intense fruity smell, mainly Barbera smell (blackcurrants, cherry) with fruity tones of Cabernet sauvignon (currents).
- Palate:Fresh, friuty, medium bodied sparkling wine.
- Harmony:Slightly higher acidity combines well with the residual sugar forms fresh harmonic entity.
- Ageing potential: 3 years

- Alcohol:1,75%
- Sugar content: 11,48 g/l residual sugar.
- Total acidity: 5,9 g/l.
- Serving temperature: 6 – 8 ºC.
- Marriage of food and wine: Aperitifs; also goes well alone with all kinds of food.
