Pinela Lanthieri
Pinela is an autochthonous grape variety from the Vipava Valley. The wine Pinela Lanthieri evokes freshness and lightness rounded off with full flavour. Although the wine has gentle flowery and fruity aromas they are well complemented with sparkling complexity.
We can enjoy the harmonious mixture of wine's rich structure and varietal aroma.

Variety: 100% pinela

Grape growing and winemaking details:
  • Vineyard: Terraced vineyards in the Upper Vipava Valley. Site: around village Lože – single Guyot.
  • Harvest: By hand, 20th September 2006.
  • Maceration: Short cold maceration of crushed grapes, eight hours.
  • Fermentation: Cold, in stainless steel vats at 18 ºC.
  • Maturation: In stainless steel vats.

Wine description:
  • Colour: Yellowish colour with undertones of green.
  • Nose: Citruses and forest fruits.
  • Palate: Floral and gentle fruity aroma.
  • Harmony: Fresh, balanced, endowed with rich structure and varietal aroma.
  • Ageing potential: In favourable conditions up to 3 years.

Wine parameters:
  • Alcohol: 12,5 %vol.
  • Sugar content: 1,3 g/l.
  • Total acidity: 5,6 g/l.
  • Serving temperature: 10 – 12 ºC.
  • Marriage of food and wine: Cold starter (cold meats), pasta, white meat, vegetable dish with fresh cheese and roasted pine nuts, spinach lasagne with Vipava curd.
