Merlot Paradox Lanthieri
The winemaking process for Merlot Paradox Lanthieri included a special technology which preserved the high content of procyanidol (substance that has many health benefits).
In the mouth the wine feels smooth, full-bodied, while the tannins contribute to wine's soft and velvety aftertaste.

Variety: 100 % merlot
Grape growing and winemaking details:
- Vineyard: Terraced vineyards in the Bilje Low Hills.
- Harvest: Exclusively by hand, first week of October.
- Maceration: Two weeks at a higher content of solid substance of crushed grapes, at a temperature of 25–28 ºC.
- Fermentation: The malolactic fermentation takes place at the same time as maceration.
- Maturation: In large 1,000–4,000-litre old barrels made of Slavonian oak.
Wine description:
- Colour: Ruby red colour.
- Nose: Fruity and varietal bouquet reminiscent of cherries and other red fruits.
- Palate: Full flavour, accented tannins because of the special winemaking process. Through the ageing process the tannins become soft and velvety.
- Harmony: A wine rich in extract rounded off nicely with the noble phenol structure.
- Ageing potential: Up to 10 years.
Wine parameters:
- Alcohol: 13,0 %vol.
- Sugar content: Dry, 1,5 g/l of residual sugar.
- Total acidity: 5,1 g/l.
- Serving temperature: 14 – 16 ºC.
- Marriage of food and wine: We can drink it to feel better and to increase our appetite because of its health benefits. Venison dishes, grill dishes.
