Vipava Pikolit White Lanthieri
Vipava Pikolit White Lanthieri is a sweet wine made of grapes dried in small crates.
It has a distinctive aroma and a full and long flavour. This dessert wine belongs to a group of very special top quality wines.

Variety: 100 % Malvasia
Grape growing and winemaking details:
- Vineyard: The Bilje Low Hills.
- Harvest: By hand, first half of October.
- Maceration: Selected grapes have to grow ripe already on the vine. Then, the best grapes are selected and put into small crates. The grapes are dried in aired and dry rooms for 2-3 months and in this time the concentration of sugar in grapes almost doubles. The must made of dried grapes ferments for a long time, sometimes till spring.
- Fermentation: Controlled, at a temperature of 16 ºC.
- Maturation: Young wine maturates in small wooden barrels that must not be filled to the top, at least for two years.
Wine description:
- Colour: From rich golden yellow to amber colour.
- Nose: Dry fruit: dried figs and raisins.
- Palate: Warm and full flavour develops a pleasant honey note on the palate.

- Ageing potential: Up to 12 years.

- Alcohol: 12,5 %vol.
- Sugar content: 89 g/l of residual sugar.
- Total acidity: 5,5 g/l.
- Serving temperature: 10 – 12 ºC.
- Marriage of food and wine: Desserts, gâteaus, walnut štruklji (walnut pie), walnut potica (walnut roll).
