Merlot Vipava
Merlot Vipava is a quality wine, typical of the variety and lighter wine.
It has a fresh and fruity flavour, moderate acidity and gentle tannins. These characteristics make it a perfect wine for  everyday drinking during meals.

Variety: 100 % merlot

Grape growing and winemaking details:
  • Vineyard: Terraced vineyards.
  • Harvest: By hand, third week of September.
  • Maceration: Five days.
  • Fermentation: Controlled, up to 30 ºC.
  • Maturation: In stainless steel vats.

Wine description:
  • Colour: Ruby red.
  • Nose: Fruity, reminiscent of red fruit.
  • Palate: Fresh, fruity, smooth texture with pleasant tannins.
  • Harmony: Fresh, medium-bodied.
  • Ageing potential: Up to 5 years.

Wine parameters:
  • Alcohol: 13,0 %vol.
  • Sugar content: 1,2 g/l.
  • Total acidity: 5,1 g/l.
  • Serving temperature: 14 – 16 ºC.
  • Marriage of food and wine: Porridge with sausage, meat stews, filled peppers, pork, beef.
