31. 03. 2008
World wine experts again confirmed that wines from the cellar Vipava 1894 (Slovenia) are among best wines in the world. It happened at Vinales Internationales – an international wine competition organized by the Union des Œnologues de France, which took place in March this year in Paris. This competition intends to emphasise the maturation capability of the wines and to honor those wines that attain a high quality level close to the optimal testing expression of their “appellation” of origin.
Chardonnay Ventus 2006 from the cellar Vipava 1894 was awarded a silver medal in Paris, which is quite success. This year even 3029 samples from 36 countries were competing for medals.
And which qualities of awarded wine have persuaded wine experts?
Chardonnay Ventus 2006 fascinates with its rich varietal aroma. Its firm and full body indicates the wine's substantial amount of extracts that prevent acidity from being too obvious. Still, these acids make the wine fresh, youthful and lively. The wine has a long and pleasant aftertaste.
