Wine brings nobility into our lives, much like a „spice“, when one respects the culture of drinking, naturally, and doesn't drink recklessly. I am glad when I have the opportunity to know more about wine, to taste it and lend my ear to the opinions of experts, as I was able to at the presentation of new wines from the Vipava 1894 wine cellar, for example. I personally find most enjoyment in red wine. Cuvee Prestige Storia is one of those unique wines that call for special occasions, a wine one can truly honour. Although I often opt for red wine, I enjoy good white wine as well. One of such wines is Zelen, a variety indigenous to the Vipava Valley, which expresses its gentle aroma to an excellent degree when served with an appropriate dish. For the glass of wine to go with my daily meal, I like to reach for Merlot Paradox, which is said to have “additional healing properties“. At any rate ... What else is left for us in this stressful life? Wine originates from nature, and a glass here and there has the power to fill us with natural strength of some kind, with optimism and relaxation.

Wine is traditionally a constituent part of our eating and drinking culture. When we pair the appropriate wine with select food, we can enjoy a true richness of taste. I respect this heritage of ours. The wine I hold closest to my heart is Malvazija Lanthieri from the Vipava 1894 wine cellar. Yet I do have to admit that I make toasts with beer more often than with wine, as it is more refreshing. Never when I am on stage, though, of course.
